A Night at Kauffman Stadium
Board members Matt Mangels of Moonshot Solutions and Andrew Miller of MillerCares represented Giving the Basics on the field to accept a $20,000 gift supporting our mission.
We are grateful to the Kansas City Royals, the Royals Foundation, and the Wives of Royals for helping make this gift possible, and to Kompass Kapital for opening its suite to our team for the evening.
It was a great night, but more importantly, it was another example of what community investment can make possible.
Nu Skin: More Than 365,000 Units Donated
Nu Skin recently donated more than 365,000 units of hygiene products to Giving the Basics, creating an extraordinary opportunity to extend access to essential products across the communities we serve.
Large-scale product donations like this are a vital part of the hygiene access equation.
We are grateful to Nu Skin for recognizing the importance of having the basics and for helping make these essentials available to people working to move forward with health, hope, and dignity.
Delta Dental of Kansas: Oral Hygiene Champions
Delta Dental of Kansas donated 20,160 oral hygiene essentials to Giving the Basics, including:
- 5,040 adult toothbrushes and toothpastes
- 5,040 child toothbrushes and toothpastes
- 10,080 packages of floss
We are grateful to Delta Dental of Kansas for investing in healthier communities and helping make oral hygiene more accessible to the people we serve.
